Art On Paper Amsterdam 2024
More about the fair
The 4th edition of the Art on Paper Amsterdam art fair will be organized in the popular cultural village of Westergas. At the Gashouder, around 50 galleries and established galleries will exhibit contemporary works by exceptional talents with paper.
In the “Transformatorhuis”, some 16 renowned art dealers will present, for the first time this year, art on paper from the old masters to the 20th century.
The art fair has an international outlook, with 40% of the participants coming from countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland, Spain and Japan, among others. Sixty percent of the galleries are from the Netherlands, thus preserving a local character.
Eight galleries will present a special solo exhibition “Cutting-Edge” by one of their represented artists.
Whether in charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, gouache, or in the form of collage, the work on paper succeeds in showing the artist at his most spontaneous and free. In addition to the special character of the medium, art on paper has the attraction of being more accessible in terms of format and price. Art on Paper Amsterdam has become a perfect specialized fair for art lovers who want to get started in the world of collecting.
In 2024, the Vereniging Bedrijfscollecties Nederland (VBCN) will host the Central Exhibition. Art on Paper Amsterdam is organized in collaboration with Jeroen Dijkstra of the Livingstone Gallery in The Hague, which curates the Dutch section.
Victor Lope Gallery will present this year a selection of works on paper by the following artists: Jo Hummel, Kepa Garraza, Jacinto Moros, Cesc Abad, Léo Dorfner, and Malgosia Jankowska.
