Nannini’s work can be interpreted as a personal reconstruction, in an absurd key, of the social structures and individual behaviours of our contemporaneity.

Using recognisable symbols, especially from popular culture, the artist creates divergent worlds in which the chain of connections of meanings is fragmented, altering the actions and relationships of the characters, to the point of changing the rules that govern them. Through resources such as humour, naïve aesthetics, vibrant colours, mismatches in the drawing or constant dissonances, he seeks to produce a contrast between the message and the tone; a whole that dislocates the observer and exalts meaninglessness.
